Barbary Shoppe is the exlusive retailer of Penhaligons
on the west coast of Florida. We import Penhaligons from England, a producer of luxury gentleman's toiletries and fragrances.
In the late 1860's, William Henry Penhaligon established himself as a barber in London. By 1870 William had
a thriving business supplying perfumes, toilet waters, and pomades to the aristocracy. His first fragrance, created in 1872,
was named Hammam Bouquet in honor of the famous Turkish Baths that had inspired it, and it remained his personal favorite.
He secured his reputation by creating scents for the nobility. Blenheim Bouquet, created for the Duke of Marlborough, was
to become a particular favorite of another distinguished scion of that family, Winston Churchill. Gentlemen's scents up
to this time were usually rich and floral; Blenheim Bouquet was one of the first citrus scents created and is still recognized
as a classic today.

Hammam Bouquet by Penhaligon's
Hammam Bouquet by Penhaligon’s is the perfume that started it all in 1870. William Penhaligon's
first essay in aroma, a dashing blend of the mysterious and exotic, an instant hit in Victorian St James's. It is warm and mature, redolent of old books, powdered resins, and ancient rooms. Cosmopolitan,

Blenheim Bouquet by Penhaligon's
Created in 1902 and named after
Blenheim Palace, the home of the Dukes of Marlborough. Later a favorite of Churchill, this is the classic fragrance of England.
It is a revolution in scent, its sophisticated sharpness cutting through the world of opulent orientals and weak colognes
of the era. It has a fragrance of subtle citrus, woody musk, and the exhilaration of pine. (fresh-citrus fragrance family)

This is one of our favorites.
Created in 2003, Endymion
is a sexy, modern fusion of citrus, spices and leather. In
ancient myth Endymion was a mortal who was so loved by the Goddess of the Moon that she put him to sleep forever so she alone
could visit him every night. A fragrance of contrast. Light and dark. Sweet and sharp. But above all, sensual, like walking in the moonlight thinking

Racquets formula by Penhaligon's was created in 1989. Outgoing and forthright. A surprising mix of sensual ingredients
it is a traditional and light based cologne with a distinctive powdery drydown.. This chypre cologne is a blend of herbaceous
and citrus notes on a vetiver base. The fragrance goes marvelously with the glow and exhilaration of exercise. It is light and refreshing, making it the ideal after sport fragrance for both
